Common questions
How is Morning different from a list of alarms?
Morning shows the next seven local dates and keeps exactly one active weekly plan. Open a date to change or skip only that morning, or apply the change to every matching weekday. A one-date change removes itself after the morning and the weekly plan returns automatically.
Why can’t I activate Morning?
Reliable PurrNest system alarms use Apple AlarmKit and require iOS 26 or later. On iOS 17–25, you can edit and preview the plan, but PurrNest will not use an ordinary notification as a substitute. On iOS 26 or later, check iPhone Settings → Apps → PurrNest if alarm access was denied.
Why did two alarms ring?
PurrNest cannot read or edit alarms in Apple Clock. When you first activate Morning, check the Clock app once and disable any old alarm that overlaps. Inside PurrNest, one-date changes and vacation pauses do not create user-managed alarm copies.
Can I change the Morning sound, and why is it quiet?
Under Morning → Alarm sound, choose from nine free sounds: eight bundled sounds, including high-volume progressive PurrNest Rise, plus Apple’s System Default. The bundled sounds can be previewed in PurrNest; System Default cannot because AlarmKit does not expose that audio. Apple does not allow third-party apps to list or reuse named Clock sounds such as Radar. Alarm loudness follows iPhone Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Ringtone and Alerts, not the media-volume slider in Control Center. After changing the sound, open PurrNest once while the plan is active so its AlarmKit records can synchronize.
What should I check if a PurrNest alarm did not ring?
Confirm that the Morning plan is active, the intended date shows a time, alarm access is allowed, and the iPhone runs iOS 26 or later. Include the app version, iOS version, iPhone model, local date/time, time zone, and whether the phone was restarted or the app was removed when contacting support. Do not send Apple Account or payment credentials.
How do I restore Lifetime Premium?
Open Settings in PurrNest and tap Restore Purchases. You can also find Restore Purchases from the Premium screen in the Tactile Playroom. Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase and make sure the device can reach the App Store.
Why is a purchase still pending?
Apple may require approval or additional processing. PurrNest unlocks Premium only after StoreKit reports a verified entitlement. For billing, refund, or Apple Account questions, contact Apple Support.
Why did my timer notification or Live Activity not appear?
Check iPhone Settings for PurrNest notification and Live Activity permissions. Low Power Mode, Focus settings, or system delivery timing can affect presentation. Your session remains available inside PurrNest.
Why does the cat not respond to my gaze?
Gaze interaction is optional and off by default. Enable it in PurrNest Settings, allow camera access, keep PurrNest active on the Focus tab, and make sure the cat is visible. Touching the cat continues to work without camera access.
Why are automatic scenes using time instead of weather?
Automatic scenes need When In Use approximate location and Apple Weather availability. If location or the network is unavailable, PurrNest falls back to local time. It does not save your coordinates.
Why are steps unavailable?
Step growth is optional and reads only today’s step count after you request it. Check Health access for PurrNest in the Health app. PurrNest does not write Health data or monitor steps continuously in the background.
How do I delete local data?
Open Settings → Delete All Local Data and confirm. This cancels PurrNest system alarms and removes local sessions, Morning plans and exceptions, pet details, growth, preferences, shared Live Activity state, and pending local notifications. Your Apple-managed non-consumable purchase can still be restored.
Why do haptics feel different?
Haptic strength depends on the iPhone model and system settings. Simulator previews cannot reproduce physical haptics.
