Privacy Policy
PurrNest: Focus & Relax (“PurrNest”) is published by Dylan Liu. PurrNest is designed to keep its core focus, Morning plan, and pet experience on your iPhone.
What we collect
Dylan Liu does not collect personal data from PurrNest. The app has no account, advertising, developer analytics, or developer-operated server. It does not track you across apps or websites.
Focus sessions, history, pet name, growth, preferences, Morning weekly plans and date exceptions, and the minimum state needed by the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island are stored locally on your device or in the app’s private App Group container.
PurrNest does not read, import, or collect alarms from Apple Clock. It does not collect sleep stages, snoring audio, wake-up scores, or alarm-use analytics.
Optional permissions and Apple services
- Camera: If you turn on cat gaze interaction, the front camera runs only while the cat is visible on the Focus tab and PurrNest is active. Frames are processed on device to estimate whether someone is facing the screen. Frames and results are not recorded, saved, uploaded, used to identify you, or shared with Dylan Liu.
- Location and WeatherKit: If you choose Automatic scenes, PurrNest requests one approximate location while the app is in use and sends it to Apple Weather to select a suitable local scene. Coordinates are not saved. The app stores only a coarse weather category and limited date/time-period attempt markers to prevent repeated requests.
- Apple Health: If you tap to connect today’s steps, PurrNest requests read-only access to step count. Step data is used on device for optional pet growth. PurrNest does not write Health data or continuously observe it in the background.
- StoreKit: Apple processes purchases, restoration, refunds, and entitlement status. PurrNest does not receive or store your Apple ID, payment details, full receipt, or transaction token.
- Notifications and Live Activities: If enabled, PurrNest uses Apple’s local notification, Lock Screen, and Dynamic Island features for session status. It does not send notification content through a developer server.
- AlarmKit: On iOS 26 or later, if you activate Morning, PurrNest asks Apple for alarm authorization and registers only the weekly plan, one-day changes, Snooze, and vacation pauses you choose. Apple presents the system alarm and related Lock Screen, StandBy, Dynamic Island, or paired-device surfaces. PurrNest stores local system-alarm identifiers only so it can update, restore, or cancel its own alarms.
Apple’s handling of information is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
Local focus history, Morning plans, date exceptions, and preferences remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Past Morning exceptions are automatically removed. A pending wake screen marker is deleted as soon as PurrNest consumes it.
In PurrNest, open Settings → Delete All Local Data to cancel PurrNest system alarms and clear sessions, Morning state, pet details, growth, preferences, App Group state, and pending local notifications. A non-consumable purchase remains available from Apple and can be restored later.
Camera frames, gaze observations, touch paths, and exact locations are not retained by PurrNest. Apple controls retention for Apple services and system logs.
Children
PurrNest is a general-audience productivity and wellness app and is not directed specifically to children. It does not knowingly collect personal data from children or any other users.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when PurrNest’s features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised for material changes.
