FieldCalc Privacy Policy
FieldCalc is designed to keep job-site project records on your device by default. This policy explains the information handled by the app and the choices you control.
Project information
Projects can contain names, customer details, addresses, measurements, calculations, notes, photos, photo annotations and generated reports. FieldCalc stores confirmed project information in the app’s local storage on your device so you can work offline.
Optional iCloud sync and collaboration
iCloud sync is off by default. If you turn it on, FieldCalc uses your iCloud account and Apple’s CloudKit service to sync your selected project records and their related photos between your devices. If you choose to share a live project, the project information you select is made available to the people you invite through Apple’s sharing controls. FieldCalc does not operate its own account system or project-data server.
Camera and photo library
FieldCalc requests camera access only when you choose to capture a project photo or use the optional AR-assisted measurement feature. It requests photo library access only when you choose to import a photo. Photos remain part of your local project unless you choose iCloud sync, live sharing or an export destination.
Exports and backups
You can create PDF reports or ZIP backups and use the iOS share sheet to send or save them. The app cannot control how a destination app, service or recipient handles information after you choose that destination. ZIP backups may include projects, photos, templates, drafts and measurement preferences.
Purchases
FieldCalc Pro is a non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple. FieldCalc uses StoreKit to determine whether a verified purchase entitlement is available. FieldCalc does not collect or store payment card information.
What FieldCalc does not do
FieldCalc does not require a FieldCalc account. It does not include advertising, third-party analytics, cross-app tracking or a FieldCalc-operated project-data server.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete a project from FieldCalc. Removing the app removes local app data from that device, subject to your device backups and any copies you previously exported or synchronized. To remove information that was shared through iCloud, manage the project and its sharing participants in FieldCalc and Apple’s sharing controls.
Children
FieldCalc is a work tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app’s data practices change. Questions about privacy can be sent to dylan120liu@gmail.com.
