Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 11, 2026

Family Chore Board helps families organize chores without advertising, third-party behavioral analytics, or a Family Chore Board account.

Information handled by the app

The app may handle family member display names, chore names and schedules, completion states, optional custom chore display images, parent-control settings, notification preferences, and purchase entitlement information supplied by Apple.

Storage and synchronization

Photos

A parent may choose a custom image through Apple’s system photo picker for a chore. The app receives only the selected item. The free version continues to provide built-in illustrations without photo access.

Notifications

If enabled, local notifications remind the family about chores or parent review. Notification preferences can be changed in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Family Pro is an auto-renewable monthly subscription processed by Apple. Family Chore Board does not receive or store payment card information. The app reads verified StoreKit transactions, including expiration and revocation status, to determine whether Pro features are available. Existing verified lifetime purchases remain honored.

Tracking and disclosure

The app does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell personal information.

Children’s privacy

Family Chore Board is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. Parents are responsible for the family information they enter and for supervising children’s use of the board.

Deletion and choices

Parents can edit or remove family and chore information in the app. Removing the app deletes its local data, while information synchronized through iCloud may remain in the user’s iCloud account or on another signed-in device until removed there.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected by updating this policy and its effective date before a new version is released.
