Hosts use Sign in with Apple to secure access to the app and Web Guest controls; Guests do not create an account. The service stores only the opaque Apple Host identifier needed for this access and does not store the Host's Apple email, name, identity token, or payment card data. Booth messages are saved locally by the Host. When the Host explicitly enables a short-lived Web Guest QR session, Guest media is temporarily held in private service storage only until the Host imports and acknowledges it, the Host revokes the session, or the holding period expires.
When a user chooses to provide it, Voice Booth may handle voice recordings; up to six optional photos per voice message; an optional guest name and relationship; host-created event details; short-lived Web Guest session and integrity information; and purchase entitlement information supplied by Apple for the Host Monthly subscription or a previously purchased Host Lifetime unlock.
This information is used only for recording, Host-managed Web Guest import, local organization, playback, editing, recovery, and host-controlled export. Selected or captured photos are re-encoded as JPEG files; Voice Booth removes source metadata such as GPS location, capture time, and device make/model from the stored copy.
For optional Web Guest selfies and selected photos, the browser compresses the image locally in memory to a final JPEG before upload. The Web Guest page does not provide face effects or collect face landmarks, and it does not retain raw images in browser storage.
The Host may create a local Memory Movie containing Event voice messages, guest display names and relationships, and attached photos. Movie creation happens on the Host device. Voice Booth does not upload the movie; it leaves the app only when the Host uses the iOS share sheet. Cancelled or failed exports remove unfinished movie files, and the completed temporary file is removed when the export screen closes.
Before saving or sending a new voice message, the guest must confirm that they have permission to share the recording and any photos they added, and authorize the Host to keep, play, display, export, and share that content as part of the Event.
Voice Booth does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell personal information.
Permissions can be changed in iOS or browser settings. Disabling a permission may prevent its corresponding feature from working.
Host Monthly is an auto-renewable monthly subscription processed by Apple. Existing Host Lifetime buyers retain permanent access. Voice Booth does not receive or store payment card information. Apple’s terms and privacy policy govern App Store transactions.
Voice Booth is not directed to children under 13. Event hosts are responsible for choosing participants and obtaining any consent required by applicable law.
Guests may stop before accepting the authorization. Hosts control imported messages stored on the host device and may delete or export them. A Host can revoke a Web Guest URL while keeping its Event live. Web Guest media is not a cloud library: it is deleted after Host ACK, session revocation, or its short holding period. A signed-in Host can permanently delete their service account from Settings after the app safely closes active guest access and imports finished messages. This removes the Host's Apple identifier binding, service sessions, guest links, credentials, and remaining server metadata. The irreversible anti-abuse trial digest and its counter remain, so deleting an account does not create another three-message free trial. Recordings and photos already saved on the Host device remain under the Host's local control; we cannot remotely access, retrieve, or delete that local content.
Material changes will be reflected by updating this policy and its effective date before a new app version is released.
